NOVUM Hospitality continues to be family-owned more than 30 years after its founding in 1988. Back then, Nader Etmenan demonstrated entrepreneurial foresight when he focused on tourism and founded the first hotels in the traditional district of St. Georg, near Hamburg's Outer Alster Lake. Today, the heart of NOVUM Hospitality still lies in the St. Georg district. The family members now run the company centrally from the headquarters in the second generation.

Jobs with a future

Will hotel jobs be replaced by robots in the future and will the industry fall victim to digitalization? No, because hospitality thrives on interpersonal communication and on welcoming guests in a friendly manner; letting them go home happier than when they arrived. We are certainly not looking for robots that work in an automated way and address our guests, but rather specifically people with character who enjoy living hospitality. Over 30 hotel projects are planned for the coming years, which will steadily create new jobs with us and secure them for the long term.

Close to the center

Even the first of our hotels were located in the heart of Hamburg's city center in the St. Georg district. This location makes the hotels attractive for tourists and business travelers. NOVUM Hospitality follows this example in other cities as well: Therefore, to this day, most of our hotels are located in city centers and are perfectly accessible by public transportation. This is also the reason why we do not know any season in the cities and are almost constantly occupied.

Open corporate culture - what does it actually mean and how is it lived at NOVUM Hospitality ? We live out our claim "Helping to shape hospitality" openly. Each and every one of us contributes to making our guests feel comfortable and welcome at all times. We want our employees to experience this feeling as well. The basis for this is created by an open corporate culture that includes appreciative communication and an open culture of error. We want to involve our employees and listen to them. Because in our efforts to make guests and employees happy, we want to constantly improve.
